Property fire

Fire Control mobilised appliances from Danes Castle (on-duty and on-call), Middlemoor (on-duty and on-call), Clyst St George and Exmouth alongside with an aerial ladder platform from Danes Castle and a Command Support Unit from Honiton. Several Flexi Duty Officers was also mobilised to a report of smoke issuing at a public property in the Paris Street area of Exeter.

At the time of the call, Fire Control advised the caller to evacuate.

Danes Castle crews confirmed that there was a large amount of smoke issuing from the property and they were carrying out an investigation. This was shortly followed by a 'stand down all on-coming appliances'. Crew got to work clearing the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan and small tools.

The cause of this was accidental.
