Property fire
Fire Control received reports of an electric box within a property on fire with electrical cables above the roof sparking. On arrival of crews they requested further attendance from another two fire engines, totalling five fire engines along with support appliances and officers in attendance. The following equipment is being used to extinguish the fire:
- Two breathing apparatus
- One hose reel jet
- One safety jet
- One thermal imaging camera

Update 17:22pm - The fire is now believed to be out. The incident is in process of being sectorised.
Final Update - This incident is now complete and was brought under control at 2002hrs. The fire which started accidentally in the privately owned bungalow, quickly spread to the roof and was well alight on our arrival. Crews made good and steady progress to bring it under control using in total 8 breathing apparatus and 5 hose reel jets, along with various ladders and small tools. Crews then thoroughly checked the property with thermal imaging cameras and cleared the property of smoke using a positive pressure fan. An occupant from the property suffered from light smoke inhalation and was treated on scene by fire service crews administering oxygen therapy until the arrival of ambulance paramedics. There were no further casualties and once the property was made safe duty of care was left with the owner. These are the full and final details.
