Two Fire engines attended reports of a bedroom on fire in a property in Ernesettle in Plymouth. Fire crews from Crownhill and Greenbank discovered smoke and flames issuing from the first floor bedroom of the premises on their arrival, and immediately set about using 4 Breathing Apparatus wearers to enter the property with a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze. All occupants had evacuated the premises. Positive Pressure Ventilation fan was used to rid the premises of smoke. The bedroom was 50% damaged by fire but 100% affected by smoke. The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
