Property fire

Fire control received a call from the Police reporting a property on fire in North Petherton. 

Control immediately mobilised 3 appliances which come from Bridgwater and Taunton. 

Once on scene crews confirmed the ground floor of the premises was well alight and got to work using 4 x Breathing Apparatus, 2 x Hose Reel Jets, and 1 x 45mm Attack jet to extinguish the fire. 

Unfortunately the fire which is believed to have been set deliberately cause 100% smoke and fire damage to a ground floor flat and 20% smoke damage to the upstairs flat. This incident also destroyed the external electricity meter and approximately 30% fire damage to the exterior of the property. In total crews used ;

• 6 x Breathing Apparatus 
• 2 x Hose Reel Jets
• 1 x 45mm Attack Jet 
• 2 x Covering Jets
• 1 x Thermal Imaging Camera
• 1 x Triple Extension Ladder 
• 1 x Positive Pressure Ventilation Fan. 

This incident was left in the hands of the Police.
