Property fire

Fire control received a call to smoke issuing from a property on Mill Street in South Molton.

Fire control mobilised 3 fire appliances from South Molton and Barnstaple along with a supporting officer.

Once on scene crews confirmed a fire was located in the kitchen on the found floor of the property.

Final update - Crews confirmed fire there had been a small fire in a kitchen on the ground floor of a detached property. Crews extinguished the fire using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 safety jet and 1 thermal imaging camera. Crews naturally ventilated property. The kitchen sustained 10% fire damage and 80% smoke damage. Crews confirmed the cause of fire to be accidental.
