Fire Control mobilised appliances from Ilminster, Chard and Taunton to reports of a fire within a domestic property in Ilminster. All persons were accounted for and crews set about extinguishing the fire which was located in the lounge of the semi detached property. Crews wearing Breathing Apparatus used one hose reel jet, a safety jet and a thermal imaging camera to identify hotspots. The property was 80% damaged by smoke and 40% of the lounge area was damaged by fire. The cause of the fire was accidental.
