Property fire
Fire control received a call to a fire within a bedroom which was possibly threading to solar panels on the roof of the property on Notting Hill Way, Stone Allerton.
Control mobilised 3 fire appliances from Cheddar, Burnham-on-sea and Bridgwater along with a supporting officer. Control mobilised an aerial ladder platform from Bridgwater due to the potential of fire spread to solar panels.
Once on scene, crews confirmed fire was contained to 1 bedroom and the solar panels were not involved in fire so the ALP could be stood down. Crews were extinguishing the fire with 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 safety jet and 1 co2 extinguisher.
Crews have now confirmed fire is out and ventilating the property with a positive pressure ventilation fan.
Final update @ 14:30 - fire located in first floor bedroom. Bedroom 10% fire damaged and 100% smoke damage. To extinguish the fire, crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 safety jet, 1 co2 extinguisher, 2 thermal imaging cameras, 1 gas monitor and 1 positive pressure ventilation fan.
