Fire Control received calls reporting that smoke was issuing out of a top floor flat so mobilised two fire engines. Following a second call from scene with potential people reported inside the building Fire Control mobilised another fire engine.
On arrival crews confirmed smoke issuing from the building and got to work with:
- Two breathing apparatus
- One hose reel jet
- One safety jet
- Small tools
- One positive pressure ventilation fan
Crews soon confirmed that all persons were free and clear of the building, but one dog had been rescued by fire service personnel.
Update 11:25am - Crews confirm that the kitchen is approximately 10% damaged by fire and 40% damaged by smoke. The cause of the fire has been determined to be accidental.
