Fire Control received a call from the occupants of a property to say their dishwasher was on fire in the kitchen.
2 fire engines attended and confirmed that the fire was out on arrival but the property was heavily smoke logged. All persons were out of the property.
Crews removed the dishwasher to the open and extinguished it fully with a hose reel jet. A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the property of smoke.
The dishwasher sustained approx 30% fire damage. The cause was accidental. Duty of care was left with the occupiers.
