Fire control received a call regarding a domestic fire on St Peters road, Plymouth.
1 fire engine from Camels head and 1 fire engine from Crownhill attended the incident alongside an officer.
On arrival crews got to work with 1 hose, 2 breathing apparatus, 1 smoke curtain, a gas detector and positive pressure ventilation to extinguish the fire and clear smoke.
The fire was contained to the washing machine, resulting in 20% fire damage to the machine and 60% smoke damage to the kitchen.
This was an accidental fire.
