Property fire
Fire Control mobilised two fire appliances to reports of a house fire in Wembdon.
Smoke and flames were reported to be coming out of a vent to the side of the property. Crews confirmed upon their arrival that there was a fire involving a bathroom ventilation fan and Dorma structure. Two crew donned Breathing Apparatus equipment and the fire was extinguished using one hose reel jet from within the property and crews also used one hose reel jet externally to prevent fire spread. A Positive Pressure Ventilation fan was used to rid the property of smoke and the premises were checked for hotspots. The bathroom was severely affected by smoke and heat and the rest of the first floor was lightly damaged by smoke.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
