Property fire
Fire control received a call stating smoke was coming from a window and someone was believed to be in the property.
Control mobilised 4 appliances and an Aerial Ladder Platform from Taunton and Wellington.
Crews confirmed once on scene that a flat was heavily smoke logged and 1 female was rescued through the window. Crews then got to work with 2 Breathing Apparatus, 1 Hose Reel Jets and 1 main jet.
Crews confirmed that female was now in hands of paramedics and the fire had been extinguished and ventilation was then in progress.
Final update - fire involving unattended cooking in ground floor flat. Crews rescued 1 female from ground floor window by firefighters on arrival of incident. Fire damage was confined to pan and hob involved in fire. The fire was extinguished using 2 BA, 1 HRJ, 1 safety jet, 1 positive pressure ventilation, 1 thermal imaging camera and small tools. This fire was deemed as accidental and the care of occupant was handed over to ambulance.
