Property fire
Control mobilised three Fire Engines following multiple calls reporting a garden shed on fire. Further calls reported that the fire had spread to nearby property, with one caller informing Control that an electricity cable had come down in the vicinity of the fire, which prompted Control to also contact the local electricity supplier. Upon arrival crews requested two additional Fire Engines along with a water bowser to supplement local hydrants.
Crews confirmed that the fire had spread to the roof space in local bungalows, and sectorised the incident to support the incident more efficiently.
Throughout the incident crews used:
- Four hose reel jets
- Four breathing apparatus
- One main jet
- One covering jet
- Triple extension ladder
- Roof ladder
The fire caused 60% fire damage to the roof space and 100% damage to three sheds and garden furniture. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
