Property fire

Fire control received multiple calls in the early hours of this morning to a property fire in Torquay.

Control mobilised 2 fire appliances from Torquay and 1 fire appliance from Paignton.

On arrival, crews confirmed 1 mid terrace property well alight and requested a fourth pump for additional personnel. This appliance come from Newton Abbot.

Crews were at work with 4 BA, 2 Hose Reel Jets, and a main jet in attempts to extinguish the fire. 

Ambulance were in attendance prior to our arrival seeing to the occupants that had evacuated the property.

Final details from crews on scene confirmed fire in bedroom of 1 mid terrace dwelling was 50% damaged by fire and 50% damaged by heat and smoke. Crews extinguished the fire using 4 BA, 2 hose reel jets, 1 safety jet, 1 PPV fan and 2 thermal imaging cameras. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and currently being investigated.
