Fire control received reports of smoke issuing from a property in Aldens Road, Exeter. Fire control mobilised one fire appliance from Danes Castle, one fire appliance from Middlemoor and one duty officer to attend this incident.
On arrival the incident commander confirmed a small fire in pan which was left on the hob. The fire was extinguished promptly using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one positive pressure ventilation fan.
Two dogs were rescued from the property by the fire service.
This was believed to be an accidental fire.
