Property fire

We received a 999 call reporting smoke issuing from a bathroom window of a domestic property. 2 fire engines were sent and on arrival confirmed that this was a 2 storey domestic property and there was a fire within a bedroom involving bedding.

The occupants had tried to extinguish the fire before we arrived, however crews used the following to ensure it was out:

• Hose reel jet
• Fire bucket
• Thermal image camera
• Small tools

The fire was accidental and the damage was confined to the bedroom.
