Property fire
Control received multiple calls to a potential building fire in Bridgewater. 2 fire engines from Bridgewater attended the incident. On arrival crews confirmed a garage, caravan outbuilding and a single storey building were on fire. Crews requested a further appliance for extra manpower attend.
Fire control assigned a further fire engine from Nether Stowey to offer support to the crews in attendance.
Crews extinguished the fire using 3 jets, 6 breathing apparatus and 1 battery fan, utilising a local hydrant.
The caravan has been 100% destroyed by fire, the outbuilding and garage 80% destroyed by fire and the bungalow sustained 5% damage to external wall of the property.
Crews are still at work with 2 breathing apparatus and 1 jet dampening down the area.
Police have been requested as there is a possibility this was a deliberate fire.
