Fire Control received several calls reporting a car on fire at the above location.
Upon arrival, fire crews confirmed one vehicle well alight and requested a second fire engine as the vehicle was located near to static caravans.
The fire was extinguished by fire crews using two breathing apparatus wearers and one hose reel jet. The car was severely damaged by fire. Two static caravans had sustained 10% smoke damage and there was heat damage to one window. A running fuel fire was also extinguished using compressed air foam systems. The Environment Agency were made aware of a small amount of fuel that had entered a nearby watercourse.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
