Fire control received a call from an occupant who was stuck within a property where a kitchen was on fire. Fire control mobilised three fire appliances. One from Paignton, one from Plymstock and one from Torquay. Whilst crews were on route, control provided fire survival guidance to the occupants within the premises.
On arrival, crews entered the building wearing breathing apparatus and walked two occupants out of the property. They also assisted another occupant out of the property.
Crews extinguished the fire involving a cooker using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one safety jet. One positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the property.
