Property fire

Fire crews were sent to a report of a fire alarm sounding and smoke issuing from a property.

On arrival crews confirmed there was some smoke issuing from a first floor flat. This fire was in the kitchen of the flat and involved a counter top and hot plate. Crews extinguished the fire using:

• 2 breathing apparatus
• 1 hose reel jet
• pressure fan
• small tools

 The kitchen was slightly damaged by fire and smoke. One person was assisted out of the property by neighbours, before the fire service arrived.
