Property fire
Fire control received calls to report a fire in a residential home at the above address.
Three fire engines were immediately mobilised, two from Minehead and one from Williton.
On arrival the incident commander requested the attendance of another fire engine due to the smoke and flames that were issuing from the property, this was sent from Nether Stowey.
Crews confirmed that there was a fire in a flat within the premises and got to work to extinguish the fire and limit the fire spread to the neighbouring properties.
Once crews confirmed the fire was out, they ventilated the property using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
To extinguish the fire crews used:
- four breathing apparatus
- two thermal imaging cameras
- one hose reel jet
- one safety jet
- one triple extension ladder
- small tools
- a positive pressure ventilation fan.
Occupants of the flat were left in the care of the assistants and the fire was believed to be caused accidentally.
