Outdoor fire
Fire Control received a call to report a heathland fire on Molland Common, Devon just after midday today.
Three pumping appliances and a water carrier were initially mobilised with crews later requesting additional resources. At present, there are five pumping appliances and a water carrier in attendance with an incident command unit and an all terrain vehicle on the way.
Crews currently have two hose reel jets, four scotty back packs and beaters in use.

All fire service personnel have now left the incident as the fire is now out. Approximately 500m x 300m of healthland was on fire. Two hose reel jets, six scotty back packs and beaters were in use to extinguish the fire.
