Fire crews were sent to a report of some smoke issuing from a landfill recycling plant. On arrival, crews confirmed that this fire consisted of 20m x 20m of waste well alight.

The fire was dealt with using the following equipment:

  • Two foam jets
  • Two gas detection monitors
  • Thermal Image Camera

The cause of the fire was accidental and the incident was handed over to on-site staff.
