Hazardous materials

Fire control received a call to Stumpy post cross to Ledstone cross in Kingsbridge for a suspected gas leak. 

Fire engines from Ivybridge, Kingston and Dartmouth attended alongside the Environmental protection unit from Newton Abbot and a Hazardous materials officer.

On arrival crews confirmed a strong smell of gas in the area, and got to work closing the road. 

Fire control requested the attendance of Wales and west who were able to locate the leak and took over the incident.
