Fire Domestic - Wellington

Fire control received a call from a resident of property reporting smoke within their property in the Rockwell Green area of Wellington.

Fire control immediately mobilised 2 fire appliances from Wellington and a supporting officer.

On arrival, crews confirmed the property to be heavily smoke logged and were getting to work with 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and 1 safety jet.

Upon further investigation, crews were able to locate and extinguish fire using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 safety jet, 1 thermal imaging camera and triple extension ladder. Once crews had confirmed the fire was extinguished, they ventilated the property.

Final update - Fire located on first floor of property caused 20% fire damage and 100% smoke damage to room of origin and 80% smoke damage to remainder of first floor. Crews confirmed this fire to be accidental.
