Animal rescue

Fire control received a call for a horse rescue in Thorndon Cross this afternoon.

Crew from Okehampton and Technical Rescue Team from Camels Head were mobilised.

On arrival crews confirmed one horse was trapped in a trailer. 

Crews kept the horse comfortable whilst waiting the arrival of a vet.

Crews released the horse from the trailer using General Purpose line with the supervision of the vet.
