Community Risk Management Plan Strategic Review Statement 2023

Our Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) sets out how the Service plans to manage fire and rescue-related risks across Devon and Somerset.

Our current plan covers the five-year period from April 2022 to March 2027, within which we committed to reporting on our progress.

This summary statement for 2023, reports progress against each Service priority. It reviews the activities carried out within the first CRMP year, including future recommendations.

When reviewing progress, we analyse data about the activities we have carried out to monitor how we performed, to understand if our forecasts require updating, and to learn about where we could improve. We also take the opportunity to look at recent changes which have taken place in our organisation and the two counties we serve, to understand how our operating environment is evolving and to suggest how it may continue to do so.

This review summarises the progress of the CRMP to date.
