Crews from Newton Abbot and Torquay attended reports of a property fire.
On arrival crews discovered there had been a fire involving an immersion heater in a bathroom cupboard.
Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one covering jet, one thermal imaging camera and a gas monitor to deal with the fire.
