Property fire
Fire control received reports of a possible fire within a commercial building at the above location in the early hours of this morning.
One fire engine from our Camels Head station, along with two further from our Greenbank station and an aerial appliance from Crownhill were mobilised to the incident.
Once on scene crews gained access to a disused property and found a fire within the ground floor area. Crews set to work with one hose reel jet, a triple extension ladder and small tools.
A further fire engine was requested and mobilised from our Yelverton fire station.
Fire fighting was increased to six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, a covering jet, small tools and two thermal imaging cameras to check for hot spots.
The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.
