Road traffic collision

Fire control received a call from ambulance requesting our attendance at an RTC involving a van and tractor between Sidmouth and Seaton.

Control mobilised fire appliances from Sidmouth, Seaton, Axminster and Middlemoor along with a Heavy rescue vehicle from middlemoor.

Once on scene crews confirmed land and air ambulance was on scene and confirmed 1 driver trapped in van which had gone into the rear of a tractor. 

Crews confirmed they had released the van driver using hydraulic rescue equipment casualty was handed over to the ambulance.
