Animal rescue

Crews from Barnstaple, including our Specialist Rescue Team, were mobilised, following a call from the owner, to a dog that had got stuck on the riverbank in silt nr a footpath in Bishops Tawton. Crews were soon on scene and after using water safety rescue equipment, a ladder and small tools, soon had the dog back to safety, unharmed,  and in the hands of their owner.
