Property fire
Fire control received a call from a member of the public to report a fire within a chalet at a holiday camp in Minehead.
Control mobilised 2 fire appliances from Minehead, 1 fire appliance from Nether Stowey and an Aerial Ladder Platform from Taunton.
On arrival, crews confirmed 1 chalet heavily smoke logged. Crews were getting to work in attempt to extinguish fire using 2 Breathing Apparatus and 1 Attack Jet.
At 09:48 crews confirmed the fire had been extinguished and the fire appliance from Nether Stowey and ALP from Taunton were able to return to their stations.
At 10:05 crews passed a stop message to control. Crews confirmed incident involved shower unit within 1 storey holiday chalet measuring 30M x 10M. Bathroom was 25% damaged by heat and fire and the remainder of chalet 100% damaged by smoke. Crews used 2 Breathing Apparatus, 1 Attack Jet, 1 Safety Jet, 1 PPV and a Thermal Imaging Camera. This incident was believed to be accidental.
