Fire control received a call from the public regarding a Lithium battery fire at a retail property on Babbacombe road, Torquay . 2 fire engines from Torquay attended the incident alongside an officer.
On arrival, crews confirmed a lithium battery was well alight and immediately got to work with 1 jet to extinguish the fire. The battery was then submerged in water to further cool down.
This is believed to have been accidental ignition.
