Road traffic collision

2 crews from Bridgwater were mobilised to Puriton Hill, Bridgwater following a request from the Police for our attendance to a 2 vehicle RTC, where people were believed to be trapped. 

Shortly after arriving and assessing the scene crews confirmed 2 people were trapped in one vehicle and set to work stabilising the vehicles and creating space ready for extrication. Crews worked alongside Ambulance paramedics using hydraulic cutting equipment, small tools and a longboard stretcher to extricate the casualties, whereby they were conveyed to hospital. Once the vehicles and scene was made safe, duty of care was left with the Police, who confirmed this road will be closed for some considerable time.
