Fire in Garden Buildings

Fire crews from Seaton and Colyton were mobilised to a fire in the Scawell Lane area of Seaton last night. Upon arrival, crews requested the attendance of a third fire engine due to large amounts of smoke in the area. One fire appliance from Axminster was mobilised. 

Crews got to work using 4 x breathing apparatus, 2 x hose reel jets, 2 x thermal image cameras and a short extension ladder to tackle the fire which started in a garden structure and had spread to three adjacent garden structures. 

Most of the garden structures were 100% damaged by the fire and one was only 5% damaged by fire. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
