Fire control received multiple calls to a derelict touring caravan on fire in Totnes Road area in Paignton.

2 Fire appliances were mobilised from Paignton. Crews promptly confirmed smoke and flames were issuing and got to work to extinguish fire using 2 Breathing Apparatus, 1 Hose reel jet and 1 Safety jet. Following this information, on scene crews requested a 3rd appliance which was mobilised from Brixham.

Crews confirmed they had successfully extinguished the fire shortly before Brixham arrived so they were allowed to return home station. The fire was extinguished using 2 Breathing Apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 covering jet and 1 Thermal Imaging Camera. Crews also used a nearby hydrant to maintain a supply of water to extinguish fire. This fire was deemed as deliberate.
