Road traffic collision

Fire Control received a call from Police stating a 2 vehicle Road Traffic Collision on Luscombe Hill. 

Control immediately mobilised 2 Fire Appliances which came from Torquay and Teignmouth, due to information that one of the vehicles had rolled over control also mobilised the heavy rescue unit from Middlemoor along with a support pump from Middlemoor. 

Once on scene crews confirmed a 2 vehicle RTC with 1 person still within one of the vehicles and got to work stabilising the vehicle and making it safe. 

Crews then got to work using 2 sets of hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof to one vehicle to allow better access to the vehicle. 

1 casualty was removed from the vehicle and left in the hands of Ambulance personnell.
