Property fire

Crews from Camels Head and Crownhill attended a fire in a domestic property in the Southway area of Plymouth. On arrival at the incident there was still someone within the property. Crews rescued a male from the window of the first floor flat using a triple extension ladder, and the fire was extinguished using four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one safety jet, a positive pressure ventilation fan, and breaking in tools. The casualty was placed in the care of Ambulance personnel and taken to hospital. The ground floor entrance and stairwell was severely damaged by fire while the first floor flat was damaged by heat and smoke.
