Control mobilised three fire engines following a call reporting a fire in a domestic property. Upon arrival crews confirmed that smoke was issuing from the roof, confirming that all persons were accounted for.

The following equipment was used throughout the incident:

  • Four breathing apparatus
  • One hose reel jet
  • One safety jet
  • One thermal image camera
  • One positive pressure ventilation fan

Once the fire was extinguished crews checked the loft for fire spread and ventilated it with the use of one triple extension ladder and positive pressure ventilation fan, using a thermal image camera again to ensure no fire spread to adjoining properties.

Final details are that the first floor suffered 75% smoke damage and 10% fire damage in the main bedroom.

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
