2 fire appliances from 2 of our Plymouth stations at Camels Head and Crownhill were mobilised to Foulston Avenue, Plymouth following a call from the occupant of a property reporting a fire on the hob of their cooker, after accidentally leaving something on top of it. They confirmed at the time of call that they were safely able to evacuate.

Crews confirmed on arrival that smoke was issuing from the ground floor of the 2 storey home and within mins of locating the fire, confirmed it was out. Firefighters entered in breathing apparatus and extinguished it using one hose reel jet and removing the items to open air. Luckily there were no casualties and damage was limited to the items left on the hob only.
