On arrival our crew confirmed the vehicle was well alight and set to work extinguishing it using 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet, before making the vehicle safe. The Highway Agency were requested during the incident to deal with an amount of oil and fuel that had leaked from the vehicle, as well as dealing with damage to the road surface. The incident was under control at 12:45hrs, leaving the driver safely awaiting recovery of their vehicle.
