Thanks to you, our plan for keeping people in Devon and Somerset safe is progressing

News

As your fire service, we’re here to help prevent emergencies and to respond to them when they do happen. In November 2021, we asked for your views on our draft Community Risk Management Plan (or CRMP for short) during a consultation period.

The draft plan outlined the risks in our communities and how we intend to manage them over the next five years (2022 to 2027).

We received nearly 250 responses to an online survey and by email. We also held virtual events and focus groups. Thanks to everyone who took part.

All of that feedback has now been reviewed and we have updated the plan where appropriate. The proposed changes are available as a committee paper.

The updated plan will be discussed by the Fire Authority later this month and needs to be in place by 1 April 2022.

Some of the feedback we received was about a specific location such as a narrow bridge or a particular landmark. So while it may not be for the CRMP which is a strategic plan, the information you provided will help us when developing the local risk management plans for each station area that we talked about in the CRMP.

Head over to our Community Risk Management Plan webpage to read the draft plan we consulted on and the findings reports.
