Property fire

Three fire engines were sent to a report of a fire in a domestic property with one person still inside. On arrival crews confirmed there was a fire within a first floor bedroom involving bedding and they rescued one male adult. Crews administered first aid until the Ambulance crew arrived and they then took the casualty to hospital with smoke inhalation.

The fire was extinguished using:

• 2 breathing apparatus
• 1 hose reel jet
• 1 safety jet
• smoke clearance fan

There was 10 per cent fire damage to the bedroom and the cause was accidental.
