Fire control received a call to reports of smoke logging within a property in Brompton Regis. One fire engine from Dulverton, one fire engine from Bampton and one fire engine from Minehead were mobilised along with a flexi duty officer.
On arrival crews confirmed the smoke logging was due to a chimney fire and got to work from the hearth of the chimney.
The fire was extinguished by crews using a stirrup pump. 1 Casualty also conveyed themselves to hospital due to suffering slight burns.
