Property fire

Crews from Torquay and Paignton attended a property on Torbay Road in Torquay where a log had become wedged behind the log burner and set alight due to the radiating heat from the log burner. Crews did a thorough search of the property to locate the source of the smoke, removed the log, and extinguished the fire using a bucket of water. A thermal imaging camera was used and a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to dissipate the smoke. The cause was accidental.
