Road traffic collision

Fire Control were made aware by Police of a Road Traffic Collision on the A303 near Buckland St Mary. 

Fire appliances from Ilminster, Chard and Taunton attended as well as a Heavy Rescue Vehicle also from Taunton attended. Once on scene, crews confirmed there had been a collision between 1 Heavy Goods Vehicle and 1 car. 

Crews used Hydraulic Rescue equipment and small tools to release 2 casualties and passed them into the hands of the Ambulance. These casualties were conveyed to hospital by land ambulance.
