Road traffic collision

Fire Control mobilised fire engines from Buckfastleigh and Ashburton to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles near Avonwick. On arrival crews found two persons still within the vehicles. Crews set about using hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools to release both casualties. A further three casualties were free and clear of the vehicles upon arrival of the Fire Service. All casualties were left in the care of the Ambulance Service.
