Property fire

Fire Control received several calls to reports of a fire at a property on Embankment Road, Plymouth.

On arrival, crews confirmed this to be a fire on the third floor of the building.... All persons were accounted for.

Crews got to work with 2 breathing apparatus wearers, 1 hose reel jet and 1 covering jet.

1 adult male was treated on scene by fire and ambulance crews for the effects of smoke inhalation.

This was a fire in a building consisting of 3 floors, used as domestic flats.  The fire was located in the living room of a third floor flat.  The property sustained 40% smoke damage and 20% fire damage to the room of origin.  The fire was extinguished using 2 breathing apparatus wearers, 1 hose reel jet, 1 safety jet, thermal imaging camera and a positive pressure ventilation (PPV) fan was used to clear the property of smoke.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
