Property fire

A fire appliance from Taunton was mobilised to East Reach in Taunton following a 999 call asking for the urgent attendance of the fire service.. The caller quickly hung up before we were able to properly establish what the incident was but luckily the address had already been passed for our crew to attend. 

They were on scene within 2 mins and quickly established there was a fire involving clothes in a tumble dryer, located in the basement of a 4 storey sheltered accomodation.property. They soon had the fire under control, preventing it from spreading further than the tumble dryer itself and after isolating the power, extinguishing the fire and making the area safe they cleared the property of smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. There were no casualties and the incident was under control at 1917hrs.
