Road traffic collision

Fire control received multiple calls to a Road Traffic Collision on the A358 near Henlade. 2 Fire Engines and a Heavy Rescue Vehicle from Taunton attended the incident alongside an officer. 

On arrival crews confirmed that it was a 3 vehicle Road Traffic Collision involving 1 Heavy Goods Vehicle, 1 Transit Van and 1 Car. Crews assisted with traffic management past the scene and were able to isolate the batteries of the vehicles using small tools to make the vehicles safe.

Crews assisted the occupant of the car and provided driver with first aid assistance. Crews works to stop large quantities of paint from entering a drain that spilt from the van after impact using dammit and absorbent pads. 

Crews handed incident over to the police who dealt with traffic management whilst awaiting arrival of recovery for vehicles involved.
